UNO 24 Wall Clock

The UNO 24 wall clock: an 24 hours clock. An impressive living space object with all-day display.

It shows the whole day at a glance and thus interprets the topic of time representation in a completely new and consistently logical way. With its sun-synchronized time display, it is the perfect image of a day and therefore often the reason for exciting conversations.

Just like a day on earth, it is divided into 24 hours and a day and night half. The distinctive solo hand follows the courses of the sun exactly and thus displays the time synchronously with the position of the sun.

A quick glance is enough to intuitively estimate the time.

The high-precision base of the watch is milled from a solid 8 kg aluminum block and then processed in 57 steps of complex manual work. The result is a quality level that sets standards.

All other precision parts of the UNO 24 are also manufactured exclusively in Germany and assembled by hand.

The watch is powered by a soundproof, battery-operated large clockwork from the Black Forest manufacturer U.T.S. 

The UNO 24 analog wall clock: fewer hands – more time

A day is the time it takes for the earth to rotate once on its own axis. The reference point is the sun. 

This is exactly the logic that underlies the principle of the UNO 24 wall clock. The hand that symbolizes the position of the sun circles the 24-hour dial once a day. 

When the sun is below the earth at midnight - not visible - the hand of the UNO 24 is also at the bottom of the dark half of the dial. 

At around 6 a.m. the sun slowly moves over the horizon. Just like the hour hand, which then moves from the dark lower half of the dial to the light upper half changes.

At 12 o'clock both the sun and the hands reach their highest point and then slowly move downwards towards the horizon. At around 6 p.m. the sun and the hands sink again into the darker half of the day.

At exactly midnight the hand crosses the date line.

The daily cycle begins again.

After a short period of getting used to it, time recording works at a glance. The scaling follows a clear hierarchy and logic.

Between the dominant hour lines with numbers are the half-hour markings and the ten-minute lines.

This graphical analog scaling ensures a surprisingly intuitive and direct recording of time.
