The new UNO 24 hours wall clock

The UNO 24 wall clock is much more than an ordinary wall clock. It is a living room object that encourages a conscious approach to time.

Just like a day on earth, it is divided into 24 hours. Its analog dial is divided into a day and a night half. The striking solo hand symbolizes the movement of the sun and thus represents the time in sync with the position of the sun.

The display principle

At midnight, when the sun is “below us”, the hand also points to the “0” at the lower edge of the dial. In the course of the morning, the hand slowly rises and crosses the horizontal horizon line at 6 o'clock. As at sunrise, it moves from the darker half of the night to the brighter half of the day. At 12 noon, both the sun and the solo pointer reach their highest point. Both then slowly descend again and cross the horizon again at around 6 pm. This time they change from the day to the night half. Finally, at midnight, the hand crosses the fine date line - a new day begins.

Reading the 24-hour wall clock UNO 24

The solo hand shows the hours and minutes in graphic analog form. Between the large hour markers with the hour numbers are the half-hour markers and the ten-minute markers.

The change in the perception of time

With its "sun-synchronized time display ”, the UNO 24 wall clock not only changes the representation of time, but also the perception of time.

One hand revolution corresponds exactly to one rotation of the earth and therefore to the period of a complete day. In contrast to a 12-hour clock, the dial shows the entire day as a one-piece graphic. While each hand position on a 12-hour clock has two meanings (e.g. 4 o'clock at night or 4 o'clock in the afternoon), the time display on the UNO 24 is unambiguous and also astronomically correct. The observer thus perceives this time display as an “analog image of the day”. The movement of the 24-hour hand is therefore no longer perceptible. This brings a pleasant sense of calm and serenity to the time display.

The absence of other hands and displays also calms the aura of this spatial object and invites a conscious and confident approach to time.

The basic body of the UNO 24 wall clock is milled from solid aluminum. In 57 steps, with a great deal of painstaking manual work, the blank is then transformed into an elegant room object - Made in Germany.

Thanks to its unusual material quality and precision, this extraordinary clock gives the phenomenon of time a respectable form.

We supply all new solid wall clocks with a specially developed mounting kit. It contains a heavy-duty nail with spacer sleeve, a stainless steel screw with spacer sleeve and a special dowel. The integrated suspension device for the wall clock is designed to enable simple and secure mounting. The head of the screw or nail anchors itself to the clock when it is hung, making the installation even more secure. Three spacer spherical caps on the back of the clocks ensure a defined distance from the wall and stable positioning of the clock - even on uneven walls.
