The TRES 24 Automatic is the flagship model among BOTTA's 24-hour multi-hand watches. Its generously sized dial displays the entire day at one glance - and simultaneously shows it very precisely thanks to the minute hand and second indicator. This form of time display is unusual, but thoroughly logical. The rotational speed of the hour hand of the TRES 24 corresponds exactly to the speed of rotation of the earth around its own axis. The dial is divided into a dark half for the night and a light half for the day. In the morning the hour hand moves up from the night half into the day half and down again in the evening to cross the fine date line at 0 o'clock. At this moment, the new day is also shown in the date window.
It is the refined details that make the design of the TRES 24 automatic so unique. The colored quadrants on the three-dimensional dial are particularly prominent. Their contrasting color is also reflected in the hands of the watch. A highlight is its second hand. This C-hand, a new development by BOTTA, indicates the seconds in the form of an open ring instead of using a long hand base. The attention to detail also extends to the design of the crown, which features the typical BOTTA double-T.
